. . . the disc jockey manual says I'm supposed to tippy-toe lightly over the beginning of the record and remind you this is KHJ . . . [Description by Contributor Michael Hagerty] And the award for Shortest Run at KHJ goes to . . . Jimmy Rabbitt, a Los Angeles legend from his time at KRLA, KMET-FM and KABC-FM. It made sense, on paper, for The Rabbitt to replace Walt "Baby" Love a known quantity with a high hip quotient for the 9PM-12Midnight slot. But Jimmy may have been too hip. He lasted for all of three days, including this overnight "break-in" shift, before PD Ted Atkins pulled the plug and brought in Cat Simon. Also included, a ten-minute Bob Lee newscast. TWO SONGS WERE RESTORED FOR TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS. Jimmy Rabbitt, KHJ Los Angeles, May 24, 1972
